Here are the basics in a nutshell:Sizing: true fit, and truly made for a woman's shapeWeight: summer/hot weather, with material that feels very durableComfort level: 6 (see the full comments below)Design: awesome layout of the pockets, but one serious flaw (again, see below)The Blackhawk! women's lightweight tactical pants come close to what I think are the perfect summer-weight tactical pants. I can only find two flaws, but (for me) they are big ones. Before I get to that, though, let me tell you about the good points.First, these pants are hemmed and ready to go, and the sizing chart is accurate. I'm 5'4" and take a 30-32" inseam, depending on how the pants are cut. The 31" inseam is perfect, creasing slightly over the toe of my boot without having to worry about walking on the back or having the hem hang up on my heel.Next, the fit is nice. I was worried about the fit because I am carrying quite a bit of extra weight, mainly across the hips and thighs. When I first tried these pants on, I thought I might have to send them back because the waist was feeling pretty small as I pulled them up over my legs. But these are not a scaled-down version of men's pants. They really ARE made for women! They are cut to fit the curves, but aren't obvious about it. That's a huge plus in my book. The Blackhawk! waistband is unlike any I have ever seen. They LOOK like they have a solid waistband that won't have any "give" to it, but they actually have a hidden elastic band that provides a lot of stretch. No need to do the "pants dance" while trying to put these on, ladies! They slip easily over the curves and fit comfortably at the waist without that "plumber's gap" and without the elastic feeling like a boa constrictor around your waist. A VERY comfortable fit in the waist and thigh... almost as good as a favorite pair of jeans. They won't make you look or feel like you're wearing a duffel bag or, even worse, a sausage casing. There is also a handy little rubberized line along the bottom of the waistband that will help keep your shirt in place. These pants hang nicely, and look sharp. There are plenty of pockets, and they are in the right places. They don't look like they were slapped on as an afterthought, and don't interfere with the line of the uniform. Another plus is the fabric. These are really lightweight, but don't have that "cheap" feel. The fabric was soft and comfortable after one washing (it wasn't uncomfortable even before washing), and the weave feels very tight, so I would not be worried about them snagging or ripping easily even in rough country. So what's the "bad" about these tactical pants? The fit is perfect in every way except one: the rise. The waistband does not sit at the natural waist. In fact, these are almost hip-huggers, the rise is so short. I found that, if I move them down so that they don't split my contract, they end up looking like a potato sack and feel uncomfortably low at the waist. If they are up where they waist is comfortable, they're a little close for comfort where it matters most. Not to be indelicate, but I am a little concerned about them not allowing enough air circulation and causing a case of crotch rot when the Oklahoma summer kicks into high gear. The other negative is the fabric. I know. I said it was wonderful, and it is - at least for comfort. But It also seems to be a lint trap. I bought the navy pants, and we have light-colored (blonde lab and a red heeler) dogs. Just putting these on I ended up with bright specks of dog hair dotting the dark navy legs. The pants are a magnet for debris, and they don't brush off easily like my tactical pants from Propper. It might be an idea to keep a lint roller handy.Overall, these are great pants. They look and feel great, other than the two issues I just mentioned. If Blackhawk! turns out a new design with a longer rise, they will probably end up being my go-to company for uniform pants.I am (currently, but not for long, I hope) 5'6" / 156lbs and I ordered the Blue 34X35L. These are True Blackhawk pants, not knock-offs like I've seen on a few other sites. In 2012 I ordered 3 pair of the black from another company and absolutely fell in love with them.Until recently (although slightly faded) I had been wearing my original 3 pairs every day and have had women stop me to ask where I got them because they love how utilitarian they are and how well they fit!! Since the (words I can't use here) lockdown, I like many others gained weight and can no longer comfortably wear my black 30x35L pants, so I ordered this larger size - and they fit my temporary plumpness perfectly!!The Blue shown in the pictures above, is Not accurate. These are a Very Dark Blue, nearly Black color, which I prefer to the light blue shown above. It will take awhile to lose these extra pounds, so I will be ordering another pair or two from this seller.Blackhawk no longer makes these, so you had better snatch them up while you can!!Fantastic waterproof material. I bought these to save money on the 511 brand pants. Everything is perfect except the crotch. The thighs and zipper area are fit weird on me. The belt line stretches so moving around is easy. I just split the zipper seam the first day climbing over a ladder. I am still all in for 511 brand.Use them for work. I like having all the pockets. Even with all the zippers the pants do clear metal detectorBlackhawks are the only brand of tactical pants that fit me well! These were good - although I do prefer the cut of their LT2 pants but they no longer make those. I am 5' 2" and have thicker legs and I love that these are roomy but not baggy. Also don't need a belt with the elastic waist band which is nice. Lots of pockets! Blackhawks hold up well too - I have several pairs of their LT2's that I've been using for the past three years during emergency animal shelter deployments so they get lots of dirt and grime on them and lots of hard work and they have washed up really well.If I could give 10 stars I would! These pants fit my curves like no other! They are light enough where you can move and not feel confined. I have just enough room to move, not baggy in the crotch area where I find most pants are. PLUS I got a workout shirt AND shorts and they also fit like no other! I will definitely be ordering more very soon and recommending these to my friends/coworkers! Thank you so very much! The first time I ordered these pants, I measured my waist at 38 inches. So, I got a 38 in waist and was way too big. They did not have the next size down in green so I ordered 28 inch and they are too small. I did not want to return again. I am keeping them for my goal pants. My goal is to loose 20-30 lbs. I know, once its fits, I am going to love them. These pants are to tight in the crotch. Very stiff. Just spend the money and go to a uniform/ tactical store.
