I really prefer these straps over any others that I have bought. The worst ones came from Thermarest. ( spelling?)The reasons why I love these straps are that they are incredibly well made, and also very easy to thread the strap through the slotted catch. They are much more heavy duty then any other brand. The webbing that they are made from is top quality. They are a full inch or just a bit wider, and they feel thick to the touch.You can use them for a lot of different purposes because when you pull on them they tighten up and stay tightened. There is no slippage. If you are hiking and you want to use them to strap your sleeping bag under your pack they are perfect for that, as well as using them as a leg strap for your camping knife if you need one.They come 4 straps in each packet! So these are very reasonable. And if you want to shorten a couple of them, all you have to do is cut the strap wherever you want to, and then use a pocket lighter to burn the fresh edge for a few seconds just until it starts to melt. That seals em up and keeps them from running.I have bought a lot of junk before I came across these, I guess that is part of the process. LoL...So I kinda know these items pretty well. I highly recommend them and you will save some bucks as well!!
