5.11 Tactical Men's Traverse Pants - Durable Outdoor Hiking & Work Pants for Tactical, Hunting & Adventure Activities

Nylon - Spandex - light weight stretchy combination of materials. A minimum of heat and rubbing of the material together will produce the little "pills and material balls" as described in the other product reviews. These pants are "look like" BDUs made from cotton and or Rip-stop material. Not even close. If you're looking for soft - stretchy light weight pants that look great on you and give the appearance you are a "man of action" these will work. Forget about grinding through brush, under barbed wire or soldering pipes on your knees under a sink. They won't cut it. Like I said they look good on you. I had no problem with one Cold Water Wash and Line Dry so far. Says you can use Dryer on lowest cycle...I wouldn't. The fit was true for me. I'm just under a 38 Waist and they're a bit loose on me. The length is good. I'm happy with the pockets even though they're made from mesh. Shame you have to be so careful with these after paying 90 bucks for them. I looked over the product description well before buying. I figured casual work and gun range was about it for these Traverse Pants. I guess you'll have to baby these guys, but you'll look good! Got a couple " where'd you get those good looking pants?" That was worth the price! But not 5 Stars.I purchased these pants as an alternative to some of the hiking pants I wear while in the wilderness. Overall these are well built and the fit is very comfortable. They do run a bit big, I bought a 34 and it fits almost like a 36. The fabric moves well and has a soft feel. I don't know if it will stand up to heavy bushwhacking, but I can't wait to find out. My only real complaint is these pants don't know what they want to be. They aren't quite light enough for the hotter days and they don't quite have the features (like zippered cuffs on the legs) to make them better for cooler temps. For casual wearing, or range pants, they are great.I've been wanting a pair of these pants for months because of their obvious comfort and style. I purchased both the black pair and the tan pair. They are a perfect fit and my wife even commented on how great my butt looks in em. I wish all of my pants were this comfortable. The mesh pockets are a little different. I have rough hands and they seem to snag on the pocket material. It doesn't ruin the mesh with keys or whatever so I guess it's no big deal.Now why I give it two stars. The thighs of the pants on the front side have horrible material balling. They are covered with tiny little balls of the color material and can be picked off but I'm not exaggerating when I say there's hundreds...on each leg. I am so angry that I paid for 90 dollar pants and the damn material balls up. I will be writing 5.11 to see if they will do something about them. I can honestly say I've worn them each maybe 20 times since I bought them. This is unacceptable. The pants at first were nice enough to wear to work on casual Friday but now they look trashy and poor. I look like I can't afford good pants. The only positive is my butt remains to look good while my thighs look worn.Thanks for your time.Springer-OhioGreat pants. Wore them for a Goruck Challenge (if you don't know what this is, then you're obviously not cool). They held up very well and dried much quicker than anything else I've worn. They make my butt look AWESOME. My wife regularly asks me to wear them to bed. Great pants, kind of expensive for men's lingerie though. Only downside is that they get a lot of pills. IE., little fabric balls. Not sure why. It's all in the crotchular area. Could be from me looking so sexy in them.Very well made pants, slinky and stretchy. Extremely comfortable but seem to be cut slightly tighter than other 5.11 tactical pants. They were on sales so I bought two pairs and don't regret the expense at all. Thy probably aren't an every-day wear pant or one I'd wear to crawl around the garden or garage floor (I wear 24-7 Tru Spec cotton pants for that) but great for when you want something a bit neater. I've only washed one pair about 4 times so I can't reallt comment on wear but there's been no fading and the fabric seems quite durable so far.Great pants. Fit is great. I am wearing them like sweatpants to sporting events where I put my phone and keys and such since sweatpants usually are horrible for me to store those items (they fall out of the sweat pant pocket). With the 5.11 pants everything stays where it is supposed to. The stretchy-ness of the pants also means that I can run, shoot (basket balls), or whatever I need to do in them. Love these pants. Kind of curious if they will last as the fabric seems kind of thin. So far so good though.I've owned several older 5.11 pants . These are lighter but extremely comfortable. I'm 6' 15lbs so tall & thin all my older pants are very baggy on me but these fit great !!! They fit like dress pants not baggy at all the stretch material stretches in all the right places . Out in the woods they held there own . In the office the don't look bad not the extra tactical look . I recommend these all day everydayNice pants fit great true length wash will and are almost wrinkle free. Would buy again.Die Passform der Hose ist hervorragend, zumindest, wenn man darauf verzichtet, die Beintaschen mit mehr als einem Blatt Papier zu füllen. Beim Smartphone oder einer Brieftasche hängt die Hose aufgrund des dehnbaren Materials sonstwo. Das macht auch die Schlaufen in den Beintaschen, die angeblich für ein Magazin gedacht sein sollen (taktischer Einsatz) zu einem Witz.Noch viel schlimmer ist das Material der Hose, das eine extrem schlechte Oberflächenqualität aufweist. Nach nur drei Wäschen und tragen im urbanen Gelände (sprich: Alltagshose ohne grosse Belastungen) pillt das Material, wie eine billige Fleecejacke. Die Hose ist schon nach zwei Monaten derart unansehnlich, dass man sie nicht mehr tragen kann. Für den Preis völlig inakzeptabel.Best pants I have ever owned!
