The waist is too big for a large, even with Amazon suggested sizing. But the drawstring and belt fix the problem. Sizing is always cattywompus with truspec stuff..Pants are great.. ruk missions,, paintball,, work around the house, camping, fishing etc etc. Comfortable, durable, decent fit. Price is outrageous, but for multicam black, and the quality, you get what you pay for. This is my 4th pair, and this is also my largest waist pair!!! But same size I've always ordered!!!For some of my more covert missions, the velcro needs to be buttons, water resistant would be great, only proprietary knee pads work, unless you get some useless knee pads, what's the point, but all in all, great pants, look great, tons of compliments, ladies love them!!! And they look great with my Altama boot/shoes that are also multicam black. Great pants.Fit was excellent and all pockets are secure, ideal for many jobs.I am 205 lbs and normally wear a large, though I'm down to 205 from a high of 225 and have been in the large range this entire time. All of my other large pants at least fit me to a degree, meanwhile I am swimming in these things. Perhaps I am spoiled with higher tier manufacturers like Crye, UF Pro, and Beyond Clothing, but the legs need hemmed and streamlined. I feel like I'm in a pair of parachute pants. Meanwhile the finish and manufacture is great. Product feels rock solid, MCB pattern is true, and it looks mean. I just wish I'd have stuck to the combat shirt and gotten the MCB pants from UF pro or someone who makes a more modernized cut of pant. These are very well made and pretty "thick" as far as BDU's go.Fit as expected, I wear a 'short' version, I have a 30" inseam and these come in nicely, not too long, not too short. Some people commented on here about how they don't like the zipper fly, but mine came with the buttons, so not sure if that's a manufacturing anomaly or not.I could do without the small leg pocket, as it just adds more bulk, but overall these are pretty much the standard and built to last.Of course, I love the multicam black, and you pay a bit more for anything multicam black due to the licensing fee's I guess. But nice looking and functional. So I have a bunch of truspec products, and all of them are great. Their bdu pants are really comfortable and durable, and don't cost all that much. That being said, for some reason when I get my newest pair of pants, they had a lot of dust, dirt, and debris on them. It's nothing a wash won't fix, but it's slightly annoying to find these in such a condition straight out of the packaging. That being said though, these are a great pair of pants and are fantastic for work/airsoft.This is for the Tactical Response Pants: I am a 32" x 30". I have now purchased 2 different sizes and neither of them fit. The Medium/Short looks I stole some fat guy's pants and put them on - the crotch is literally down around my lower thigh and knee. The Small/Short I can barely button (honestly afraid that the button will pop if I wore these to work), and that's without washing them, without any base layer, or without trying to tuck in any type of shirt. I own several pair of the 24/7 Expedition pants and they fit PERFECT (they actually have a dedicated 32" x 30" size and are an amazing pair of pants). Between the all the time I have put into trying to find a pair of Tactical Response Pants that fit, and all of the shipping costs to return them, I am just plain frustrated. I really want these pants to fit; but alas, I guess it is just not meant to be. I am tempted to try a pair of the TRU Extreme pants since they have the comfort slide waistband, but I am pretty certain that the same sizing issues will occur with those as well because they come in the same size increments. So, if you are a legit 32" x 30", I highly suggest not wasting your time and money with this specific series of pants. Upon reading all of the other reviews, I see that there several other people who are having the exact same issue with fit. It just blows my mind that a company like Tru-Spec doesn't offer such a common size in these (and several other) lines of pants.I had to order these uniforms for work. The fit and quality of construction is Truspec all the way (meaning: excellent construction quality and true to size fit), but the color...pathetic. The first set I ordered faded noticeably with the first wash, and ended up with what looked like permanent "chalk lines" running all through it. When I complained to the manufacturer, they sent me a new set...AWESOME...except the new set also faded significantly over the next few washes. I am not the only person to have this problem, as ALL my team mates experienced the same color fade, and we all didn't order from the same distributor (though we all DID order Truspec). I have Truspec digi-grays that I wore over three years and never experienced the level of fading that I saw immediately with the Multicam Black. If you have any say in it, I suggest NOT going to Multicam black. The Ripstop Fabric is light weignt unlike the camos from Vertyx or 5.11's.The print is rich & dark. Heavy use followed by about 10 good washes will show how good the color holds up.The waist is not stretchable. It has flimsy drawstrings that you might like to do away with. Why can't they incorporate the new age telescopic waist? The trousers are with button fly. Its a struggle for me with the button fly pattern.I bought the size L Short. The waist measured 40" & the Inner seam about 31 ".So its clearly a size larger than L.Unlike Vertyx or 5.11's, Tru Specs are an affordable brand and offer you a True Value.I wanted a subtle black camo and this fitted the bill. In reality, it's even darker than I thought, being mostly black with medium and dark green thrown in. Definitely a very subtle camo.I have a pair of Tru-Spec a-tacs ix to compare them to, and there are some differences. The black seems to be softer to the touch, despite both being 50:50 nyco. The black pocket fasteners are all velcro, whereas the ix is all buttons except the lower legs. Also, I noticed about 3" of missing/loose stitching on the black at the hip, which had to be fixed before I wore them.I'm 5'11" and went for medium long, as I hate trousers that look too short. These are definitely long, but look acceptable bunched up on my heels. The legs are pretty wide, but you'd expect that from this type of trouser, so no issues there.I like these as they're dark, so are more widely usable than the lighter camos I have, but I knock a star off for the stitching issue and also because I prefer buttons on the pockets. Ordered a medium. They say 32 and up. It is more 36-38 and up. I never saw a big pair of pants as those . They say M, I say it was XL.WEIRD
