Wash it before wearing to get the dye smell outThe pattern is nothing like the picture but the most disappointing thing is this hat will never maintain its shapeI don't like "baseball caps" but needed a hat for work in a restaurant kitchen. I already have a couple military style boonies but wanted another color in a durable boonie type hat so gave this a chance. I say "chance" bcz I've bought and returned 3 other brands due to various reasons. Main reason were that they are just too small, like being "made in China" means that the head size is a lot smaller than those made in the USA. It's like the Chinese seem to just have smaller heads..?!So as soon as it arrived I tried it on to find that it is just a little snug But it seems to have stretched out a couple millimeters and now it's perfect! It's snug enough that it catches all my forehead sweat and no longer need to wear either a skullcap or a neck gaiter around my head to catch my forehead sweat (one of my Rothco military boonies is a few millimeters too loose without any way to tighten it so my forehead sweat drips down, hence the gaiter as a headband...) Amazon describes this boonie as a one size fits most but anyone with a larger than normal head, this boonie would be too tight and uncomfortable.I'm very happy with my purchase of this boonie and it's now my first choice of boonie hats to wear to work in a very hot restaurant kitchen! (will compare it to the Mission boonie I just bought, bcz can't wear the same hat every day!) But so far so good!Shipping was fast enough to Honolulu Hawaii. About 5 business days to my doorstep!
