These bookcases are FANTASTIC. Of the seven I have purchased, one came with an incorrect part that I cannot purchase at my local hardware store. I immediately contacted customer service, who sent me an e-mail three days later saying they needed pictures and proof of purchase. So I sent them immediately and heard nothing back. Just as I was about to give up, the correct part arrived. They have an e-mail only customer service contact, no phone number. So, if you need a replacement part, send a picture of the necessary part and proof of purchase, and you will cut the response time in half. I reduced the stars to four because of their customer service; the chance you will need them is slim, but their lack of communication is very frustrating if you do.The bookcase is solid, sturdy, attractive looking, and looks great sitting side-by-side. They are straightforward to assemble. I am 69 and have no problem putting them together myself (pay attention to the holes and ensure they are all on the same side). They are heavy, so getting them upright may be challenging (I put them together on the dining room table and then pivot them upward).We plan on replacing all of our bookcases with these. They are just amazing for the price. They are also narrow, which is a bonus because they will fit in more places. For example, we were able to put one behind a door in a bedroom, giving the room more storage space. We also fit one into the kitchen area, giving me a real bookcase for all of my cookbooks, which is a major plus!You might have to disassemble one piece or two since pieces although labeled look exactly the same but might have to be reveresed to correctly show front or back on the right side to screw together. Excellent shipping packaging guaranteeing that no damage will be found despite world wide transfer and handling. This is the one to buy.Great quality for the money. Looks fantastic! Assembly was pretty much straightforward. It can be done alone but is easier with 2 people. Also bought the shorter shelf and love that too. Purchase with confidence.These look nice, hold a lot of books, and are extremely sturdy given their height. I was able to assemble by myself in about 90 minutes (with some breaks). As one reviewer noted - pay attention to the instructions! I put the middle piece in upside down on the first one I assembled and had to back it out. Fortunately, it was not that difficult. The wall anchors are definitely needed because of the height.It looks great. Allows for a grand display of whatever it is you want to display. I love how tall it is.I'm very happy with this book shelf for the price. It's narrow and tall though...and due to that I believe it needs to be secured to the wall. Wall screws are provided to do so.For the price, this is a really good piece! I will say a couple of the shelf holes did not quite line up, but it didn’t compromise the structure.It went together fast and looks great. I got the 7 ft tall one and it worked so well. I like that it came with sturdy and decorative brackets.So, 4.5 out of 5 stars for me.This product was sturdy, well made, and came with amazingly well detailed and labeled instructions! That is a rare thing these days for products needing assembly!Kudos to Homissue!
