Be true to your state, or states, with these tactical patches from Gadsden & Culpeper. I have five of them, all in distressed monotone shades, for wearing on my hats and jacket sleeves. Well, three are states: Arizona (two versions), where I live now, and Maine, where I’m from. The other two patches are U.S. flags.I wear the patches on my hats (one tan, one camo) or on jacket sleeves. These patches are tough and durable, and quite attractive. The stitching is excellent, even on Maine’s detailed flag design. They are pre-velcro’d with the hook side of the velcro, and seem like they’ll stick together for a long time.Hats and jackets universally have the woolly loop part, so you can slap the patches right on.On the colors, well, it’s a matter of choice. The tan shade called “Coyote” seemed to work best with my hats and jackets, and I like the distressed and tactical look of the monochrome patches. The color ones are good too.Gotta say that under $5 each, these are a bargain.I don’t know if the flag patches are washable. I wouldn’t!!NOTE: Be careful about sizes — check the size of where you’re going to put the patch. On my hats the area is 2”x3”, and that’s the size patches I bought. On my jackets, the velcro area on the sleeves is larger, and I can use the 2”x3” patches or two 2”x3.5” patches. If the patch is a little smaller than the velcro area, that’s totally fine. If the patch is larger, something could catch it and tear it off.
